Honeybees beat their wings up to 200 times per second which creates their "buzz" sound. 

Bees and humans have a lot more in common than we think! 

Did you know bees communicate with each other and are social creatures? Just like us! Bees dance to communicate with each other - they move their bodies to show where the best pollen is to be found!

  • Biology: Come from unfertilised eggs so only have one parent. 

  • Physical: Biggest of the hive. No stinger, pollen basket or wax glands.

  • Life span: About one week, die after mating.
