Here is a list of useful websites to find information on bees and pollinators 

International Bee Research Association

IBRA is the world's primary source of information and databases on bees. It promotes the value of bees through information on bee science and beekeeping worldwide. It is funded through the sale of its journals and books as well as through donations.  

The Federation of Irish Beekeepers Associations

This Federation represents Ireland's 48 local ember associations, each with programmes of beginners' courses, summer schools and lectures to teach all levels about the craft of bee keeping. Their website is full of informational resources and gives you a look into the world of bee keeping in Ireland. 

Food and Agriculture Organisation

This specialised UN branch leads international efforts to defeat hunger. They have various articles about bees and their importance to food security. Check out their video "imagine a world without bees..." here

National Geographic Kids 

This is a great resource to teach upcoming generations about the importance of bees. It includes a free downloadable primary resource to help teachers and parents.

Bee Our Guest - Apitourism in Slovenia

How about a bee holiday? Slovenia have a long history of bee keeping as the pioneers of world keeping came from here. They are the first EU country to protect it's native bee and are promoting the importance of bees through "apitourism" or bee tourism. Experience anything from restorative apitherapy to honey tasting!

Bee Life EU

Bee Life EU is a non-profit organisation. It's members are made up of active actors within the EU that work to improve environmental conditions for bees, agriculture and human health.
